Simrad Yachting continues its support of Gray FishTag Research, an international tagging program comprising more than 10,000 charter captains and mates.
A division of Navico, Simrad will provide funding and electronics to for auction, promoting gamefish stability through the tagging program and increasing public awareness.
“We have been sponsoring GFR for many years, and their work is vital to the health and sustainability of our oceans and fisheries,” Navico Group senior vice president of sales Sean Hatherley said in a statement.
GFR provides its data free to the public, and the information gives scientists and fishery management groups insights on migration, stocks, growth rates and more.
