CMC Marine has hired an executive in the U.S. market and promoted another in Northern Europe as part of its international expansion. The Italian builder of stabilizers said in a statement that Buddy Morgan is now sales director of CMC Marine USA, and Sam Crockford has been promoted to managing director of CMC Marine UK.

“The international market is taking on increasing importance for our company,” said Alessandro Cappiello, CEO, in the statement. “The appointment of Buddy Morgan as CMC Marine USA Sales Director, an announcement we’re very proud to make, and the increasingly important role played by Sam Crockford as Managing Director of CMC Marine UK are the confirmation of this.”

Buddy Morgan has 35 years in the marine industry with marine electronic manufacturers in North America. The company’s offices in Fort Lauderdale have seen growth in the last year, including a recent contract with Marlow Yachts. Morgan will continue to expand U.S. sales, said Cappiello.

Cappiello said other strong markets beyond Italy include Northern Europe. Crockford, who has worked with the CMC Marine team for two years, now manages CMC’s European and UK-based customers. They include builders Sunseeker, Moonen and Conrad.
