Jestercom recently launched its “Personal Marketing Experience,” a smart phone/mobile device application for boatbuilders and dealers.
Working with a builder, Jestercom creates a customized interactive software application that can be uploaded onto a device, such as an iPhone, iPad, Droid or other similar device. The builder or dealer can send a prospect the device and once activated, it presents a personalized message to the prospect, along with extensive information regarding the model that the person is interested in.
The application also provides information such as local weather and tides, the nearest boat ramps or marinas, fishing spots and local clubs. The seller can use the device for continued interaction throughout the selling cycle and it provides for live chat via VoIP for questions and discussions.
Once the sale is complete, the device serves as a tool for maintaining a dialogue with the customer, providing information about add-on accessories, merchandise tips and access to maintenance records.
“The PME serves as a virtual extension of the sales team and strikes right at the point in the sales process where the prospect is on the decision-making fence,” company founder Jared Jester said in a statement. “This technological wow factor and personalized interactive messaging will help close the sale.”
