U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., met with officials of Mercury Marine Friday and toured the company’s manufacturing facilities in Fond du Lac, Wis.

Baldwin was accompanied on her tour by Mercury Marine president Mark Schwabero and Mercury’s president of global sales and marketing Kevin Grodzki, according to a statement.

Included on the tour were the assembly areas for outboard and sterndrive engines, where Baldwin spoke with several manufacturing employees.

She expressed support for Mercury’s continuing growth and the company’s investments in its future business.

Prior to visiting Mercury, Baldwin toured the Fond du Lac STEM Academy. Mercury was a major influence on the formation of the STEM school and continues to support the school and its programs.
