Yamaha this week announced that it will supply the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute with a 70-hp outboard for its research boat through a two-year agreement with Yamaha Rightwaters.

HSWRI is a non-profit research organization that develops scientific solutions to tocean health and marine life threats.

“Our Florida-based researchers serve as the emergency stranding response team for 140 miles of Florida’s east coast, the busiest area for strandings across the state,” Jeff Eble, Florida program director for HSWRI, said in a statement. “A reliable motor is critical to helping Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute quickly respond to marine mammal strandings and entanglements — we’re excited about this new relationship.”
