Scanstrut said it signed a supply deal with Hanse Yachts for its ROKK Wireless phone-charging system. The German builder will use the system across its model line.
Scanstrut said ROKK is the first 12/24-volt waterproof wireless charger designed for the marine environment. It has been sold into the accessories aftermarket in 36 countries.
“We have been amazed by the uptake from our customers and partners in marine ROKK Wireless,” Tom Reed, Scanstrut CEO, said in a statement. “There is a rapidly growing demand for wireless charging on board, and ROKK Wireless is ready to install anywhere on board, with no more wires.”

Reed added that the charger was created for marine use, and is housed in an IPX6, fully encapsulated and sealed unit. It meets all global standards and certification requirements.
The company said it will now target boatbuilders with ROKK Wireless. “We have now integrated the charger into our saloon furniture to give our owners a discreet yet accessible place to charge their phones on board,” Florian Nierich, of Hanse Yachts, said in the statement.
