SmartPlug Systems, the manufacturer of power-delivery products for boats, RVs and specialty vehicles, hired Andrew Lankford as a quality assurance engineer.
“Andrew has the unique ability to observe and assess a production line and offer immediate solutions on how to improve its efficiency, quality control and ergonomics while reducing waste,” CEO Tony Barber CEO said in a statement.
Lankford will support SmartPlug’s quality policy as he applies his experience in lean manufacturing and knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
In other news, Seattle-based SmartPlug Systems said it is moving to a larger facility that will increase its manufacturing footprint by 40 percent, providing additional production and assembly space to meet increased demand.
