Suzuki Marine USA recently invested in 11 new employees across multiple departments to meet increasing outboard engine demand and support boat builders, dealers and customers.

Many of the hires are for newly created positions across a range of disciplines. Some of employees will be based at Suzuki Marine’s U.S. headquarters in Tampa, Fla., while others have field positions and two new hires will work out of Suzuki’s Marine Technical Center in Panama City, Fla.

“We’ve enjoyed record sales and growth since we opened our U.S. Marine Technical Center and moved to our new corporate headquarters in Tampa,” George “Gus” Blakely, Suzuki Marine executive vice president, sales and service, said in a statement. “Each of these new additions will play a key role in continuing this success as we move into an exciting period of anticipated growth.”

Yuta Adachi joined Suzuki as chief financial officer. He has a degree in policy studies from Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan and prior to joining Suzuki, Adachi was regional financial manager for three European subsidiaries in London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. He joined Suzuki in Japan in 2016 with the finance and audit division.

Two new hires will be based out of Suzuki’s technical center. Jason Stimmel is the technical center department manager. He brings 20 years of relevant experience in the marine industry and holds many marine patents. Stimmel has worked with gasoline inboards and sterndrives and moved on to make emissions-control systems for stationary and marine heavy diesel and natural gas engines. He currently serves on the Society of Automotive Engineers marine technical committee and fills the same role at the American Boat and Yacht Council.

Also new to the technical center is Kyle Egbert, the engineering manager. He has worked in the recreational vehicle and automotive industries in implementation and design. Matt Dugas is a third addition to the technical center. He will be an endurance-boat driver.

Reed Griggs joined Suzuki as a district technical service manager, bringing 14 years of marine-industry experience to his role. New addition Forest Graham will be a district sales manager for the Pacific Northwest market.

John Laws joins Suzuki as a quality research analyst while Jeni Dey signed on as a purchasing administrator. As a dealer order desk coordinator, Christy Proctor will assist Suzuki dealers. Aaron Davis is a new customer service administrator and Zack Wilson is new to the customer relations department.
