Torqeedo named Anders Hård vice president of global services, the German e-propulsion manufacturer said in a statement.
Hård joins Torqeedo after spending 25 years at Volvo Penta, where his most recent role was in aftermarket business development. He will be tasked with overseeing Torqeedo’s aftermarket sales and service, and will function as a liaison between customers and the company’s service and product management team.
“Outstanding service and after-sales support is a critical component to achieving Torqeedo’s mission to create a climate-friendly future,” said managing director Michael Rummel. “We must be sure that our customers have the absolute best experience with our products, and I believe that Anders Hård is the right man to make that happen.”
Added Hård: “I wanted to work within a fast-moving company that wants to make a difference and has sustainability in its DNA. I’m looking forward to leveraging advanced Torqeedo technology to increase uptime and productivity for our customers.”
