Torqeedo has hired Jonathan Kruse as its project sales manager for North America.
A seasoned marine industry veteran, Kruse brings 30 years of experience to the role. A licensed captain, he has held positions as general manager, operations manager and owner/operator of various marinas and dealerships.
He comes to Torqeedo from Marine Travelift, where he was North America sales manager.
“The marine electromobility market is entering a new phase of explosive growth, generated by consumer demand for sustainable products and innovative technologies for electric motors, drives, batteries and charging,” said U.S. and Canadian operations president Steve Trkla in a statement. “We are confident Jon Kruse will make a significant contribution to our aggressive plans for growth in the North American market.”
Kruse will manage the end-to-end sales process of Torqeedo’s e-propulsion systems and accessories with OEMs, naval architects and engineers — a role he said he’s well-suited for.
