Torqeedo appointed Patrick Bucci to the new position of senior director for business development for its electric and hybrid propulsion systems in North America, the company announced in a statement.
Bucci, who has 20 years of experience in marine sales, will drive North American sales, focusing on recreational, commercial and government opportunities for the company’s Deep Blue products.
“[Bucci’s] depth and breadth of experience in the marine industry will enable him to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on growing our Deep Blue high-voltage electric propulsion business in the commercial and leisure marine segments,” Torqeedo president Steve Trkla said.
“I share Torqeedo’s vision of a greener and sustainable marine industry and welcome the opportunity to play a role in moving the industry away from dependence on fossil fuels to electric and hybrid propulsion,” Bucci said.
