Electric propulsion manufacturer Torqeedo last week announced the launch of Torqeedo Academy, a program designed to train the company’s worldwide partners to service products and improve the after-sale consumer experience.
Last week marked the inaugural training for international sales and service partners at the company’s Wessling, Germany, headquarters.
“The goal of our new Torqeedo Academy is to train all of our partners worldwide so we make sure our best-in-class standard is met within the market,” CEO Fabian Bez said in a statement. “Furthermore, we aim to create a knowledge hub and community of people who together are leading the way toward a more sustainable boating industry in the near future.”
According to Torqeedo, the academy offers in-person technical training for its service network, with online content hosted on the Torqeedo website. The content will not be limited to Torqeedo products and services but also will address a range of sustainable boating topics and practices.
“As a pioneer in our market, we also want to address general topics in e-mobility on the water and make information more accessible to the public,” Bez added. “By doing so, we not only enable our partners but also significantly contribute to establishing a new way of movement on the water.”
