Webasto Group named Brad Ring CEO and president of its Americas region, which includes the United States and Mexico.
Ring has held various roles during his 30 years in the automotive industry. Most recently, he was the president of Faurecia Clean Mobility, North America, where he oversaw strategy, finance, sales, engineering, product development and manufacturing.
“[Ring] joins us at a time of rapid change and growth, and his leadership experience will be instrumental in further developing the Americas region — one of the key regions for the group — as we continue to execute on strategy, strengthening our core business with roof systems as well as our position in the e-mobility market,” Holger Englemann, chairman of the Webasto Group management board, said in a statement.
Ring replaces Freddy Geeraerds, who had held the role in an interim capacity. Germany-based Webasto has headquarters and a research-and-development center in Auburn Hills, Mich., and nine plants in the United States and Mexico.
