The National Women’s Sailing Association is hosting a two-day diesel engine workshop for women March 15-16 at the Mack Boring Technical Institute in New Bedford, Mass.
The two-day workshop covers the proper methods of performing basic engine service and emergency repairs and includes hands-on time with the engines. John Farrell of Mack Boring will be the instructor.
The goal is to provide women with technical knowledge and hands-on experience in a team environment where women will gain boating skills and confidence.
The registration deadline is Feb. 1.
