Yamaha Marine’s new MyYamahaOutboards mobile app and Web portal allows owners to keep maintenance records, schedule service, access the owner’s manual and FAQs/tutorials, and keep a digital diary of their on-the-water experiences.

The app integrates with participating authorized Yamaha outboard dealers and will send messages and notifications to outboard owners when service is due. For do-it-yourselfers, MyYamahaOutboards offers updatable maintenance charts.

“Whether a boater is on the water every day or only a few hours each year, MyYamahaOutboards is a valuable tool,” Frank Wilhelm, advertising and digital marketing manager for Yamaha Marine Engine Systems, said in a statement. “There’s a great deal of benefit in having all completed outboard service intervals recorded in one succinct platform with an authorized Yamaha outboard dealer.”
The platform stores information for multiple boats and outboards. For boats with two or more outboards, owners can set the specific position of each outboard on the boat (port, starboard, center, etc.).

The company requires that each outboard be warranty-registered by an authorized Yamaha dealer to access all of the app’s features.
