Yanmar Holdings reported that it had a record fiscal year 2022. The company had an increase of 17.3% in revenue to $8.68 billion (JPY$1.2 trillion) and a rise in ordinary income of 26.2% to $446.33 million (JPY$61.8 billion).

The company said in a statement that it “continued to achieve record highs in both net sales and ordinary income, as in the previous fiscal year, with net sales exceeding 1 trillion yen [$7.22 billion] for the first time since the company’s establishment.”

Yanmar’s ratio of overseas sales increased by 5.2 percentage points compared with the previous year, reaching 60.7%. The company said it achieved its target of attaining a 60% overseas ratio ahead of schedule. The objective, originally set for fiscal year 2025, was outlined in the medium-term strategy announced in June 2022.

Looking forward, Yanmar said it will accelerate its efforts in hydrogen fuel cells and engines, as well as battery power under the Yanmar Green Challenge 2050.
