Annapolis Boat Shows said two artists from Annapolis are the winners of the 2014 Poster Contest for the 2014 Bay Bridge Boat Show and the 2014 Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show.
Kaeli Smith, a young professional artist with her own design company and a student at the University of Delaware, created the poster for the spring sailboat show. Her painting conveys a passion for color and her unique style depicts the beauty of Annapolis Harbor.
A stunning watercolor by 12-year-old Brenna Litynski was chosen to represent the Bay Bridge show. Litynski is one of the youngest members of the Annapolis Watercolor Club and plans to donate proceeds from the auction of her artwork at the show to the Veteran Artist Program.
“I am delighted to recognize two immensely talented people. The winning artists not only capture the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, but use creative imagery and motifs to illustrate sailboat and powerboat themes,” Annapolis Boat Shows president Paul Jacobs said in a statement.
Both winners will display their artwork at the respective shows. Signed posters will be available for purchase.
