Boston Yacht Sales is celebrating its 20th year as a Sabre Yachts dealer.

The team from Boston Yacht sales visited Sabre’s facilities in Raymond, Maine, just as their next Sabre 42SE stock boat was rolling off the line and where Bentley Collins, vice president of marketing and sales, had gathered more than 150 Sabre associates.

Collins presented Boston Yacht Sales owner/broker Michael Myers with a plaque recognizing the partnership.

“It seems like yesterday that I visited with Michael Myers at the Boston Yacht Sales office in North Weymouth to welcome them as a Sabre dealer,” Collins said in a statement.

“At that time, our powerboats were identified as Sabreline, but as we progressed further and further into the powerboat market we opted to use simply ‘Sabre,’ the name by which we are best known. In the 20 years since then Boston Yacht Sales has been a very important factor in the success of our motoryacht program, and they have had considerable influence on our new-product development program. Boston Yacht Sales’ performance has placed them in the top tier of our dealer network year after year. We are extremely proud of the 20-year relationship between Boston Yacht Sales, Sabre Yachts and Back Cove Yachts.”

As he accepted the plaque, Myers thanked the craftsmen who he said are renowned for their expertise, and for the design team that seamlessly combine the classic with cutting-edge technology and leadership.

“We’re proud to be affiliated with Sabre Yachts and our team is constantly enthusiastic about the brand,” Myers said. “Whenever we talk Sabre, we talk about you, and the work that goes on in this facility. The quality of your craftsmanship is constantly recognized and acknowledged.”

“In 2003 when Sabre introduced the Back Cove range, Michael Myers of Boston Yacht Sales was one of the founding group, also known as the Manchester Six: the group of six dealers who helped to launch a brand that today is one of the most popular Down East motoryachts in the marketplace,” Collins said.
