Grand Banks Yachts has appointed NW Explorations as a Grand Banks authorized service center, as well as its first authorized purchase-for-charter company in the world.

Grand Banks said Bellingham, Wash.-based NWE offers a marine service department composed of highly skilled technicians, including several who are certified by the American Boat and Yacht Council. NWE is qualified to work not only on Grand Banks yachts, but on a variety of power and sailboats, as well.

NWE has offered yacht charters for nearly 30 years. Customers can explore the San Juan and Canadian Gulf Islands, British Columbia’s Desolation Sound or the Inside Passage to southeast Alaska, Haida Gwaii and Prince William Sound.

“We are thrilled to expand our long-term relationship with Grand Banks Yachts, as we have maintained a substantial GB charter fleet for over three decades,” NWE owner Brian Pemberton said in a statement. “We know these boats intimately, and this summer we will be taking a flotilla of GBs across the Gulf of Alaska and into Prince William Sound, cruising for nearly 5,000 miles. The comfort and reliability of Grand Banks for these extended cruises are legendary. We are very excited to sell and commission new GBs into our fleet.”

“The newly created purchase-for-charter program allows those looking to purchase a brand-new Grand Banks to do so while taking advantage of NWE’s charter operations, which are backed by the expertise gained from decades of success. We are thrilled to enter into this partnership,” said Tucker West, head of North America sales at Grand Banks.
