Jamestown, R.I.-based Sensible Yacht Cordage was purchased by Jonathan Thurston from company founder Jan Trousilek, who had obtained exclusive rights to sell Lanex Yachting ropes in the United States. “They don’t have any presence in America besides Jan,” Thurston said in a Jamestown Press report. “Jan has created this energy, but I am taking it to the next level.” Thurston added that he is looking into expanding nationally. “We’re trying to work a lot closer with marinas and riggers.”
