Warwick, R.I.-based FarSounder this year celebrates its 20th year as a leader in developing 3-D forward-looking sonar in the marine space.

“We started by listening to the marketplace, focusing on delivering a high-quality product and providing superior customer service. These principles are still our top priority today,” founder and vice president of engineering Matthew Zimmerman said in a statement.

“This 20-year milestone is a testament to our exceptional team and their dedication to marine safety,” added CEO Cheryl M. Zimmerman.

FarSounder’s patented Argos forward-looking sonar detects objects and shallows in a 120-degree view. Three levels of Argos systems — 350, 500 and 1,000 — work at 350, 500 and 1,000 meters, respectively, and at speeds from 18 to 25 knots.
