The entry period for this year’s DAME Design Awards, which recognize products at Metstrade, is open. Also, the adaptive sailing organization SailWise was named the charity for this year’s edition of the show.

The awards program is judged by a jury of boat, interior and industrial designers who look at aesthetics, functionality, efficiency, environment and innovation. Manufacturers can submit entries for new design concepts and products until Sept. 16.

Metstrade is scheduled for Nov. 19-21.

The jury will select a shortlist of entries before revealing the winners in each of eight categories.

These are the award categories:

• Comfort & Entertainment Afloat

• Navigation & Communication

• Electronic & Electrical Systems

• Propulsion & Dynamics

• Deck Equipment

• Security & Safety Aboard

• Shoreside Equipment & Materials
