SailTime has opened a new base in Barcelona, Spain. This is the Annapolis-based firm’s third boat-club franchise in Europe. It opened two others in Italy last year.
The new Barcelona franchise will be located at Port Balis 19-21 and will be supported by club members. “Expansion into Western Europe continues to be one of our top priorities,” said SailTime CEO Todd Hess in a statement.
SailTime Barcelona will be owned and operated by Luis Mas and his son, Oriol, of Motyvel Yachts, which has been in the boating business for 40 years. Motyvel Yachts is a Jeanneau dealer.
“To share is the future, in boating too. This is how Motyvel Yachts foresees the immediate future in the yachting industry,” said Luis Mas in the statement. “SailTime is the perfect program that can be adapted to everyone’s needs.”
