The Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam was a success for the 80 companies that took part in the U.S.A. Pavilion there.
Sponsored by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the pavilion had a record number of participants and had to turn some exhibitors away, export director Julie Balzano said.
“The strong U.S. dollar was definitely a topic of discussion, but customers were still buying,” Tempress Products CEO Mark Lozelle told the NMMA. “The quality of U.S. products is still a key interest for buyers here, and it appears the smaller-boat market is still doing well in Europe.”
METS organizers took a video that features the pavilion.
“Over the years as the publisher of TO I’ve been able to bring a lot of my clients over to METS,” Soundings Trade Only publisher Dean Waite said in the video. “Each time, it’s been an over-and-over-again repeated success.”
