Fourteen superyachts larger than 79 feet were sold in January at asking prices totally more than $113 million.
That compares to only four reported sales in January 2009 for about $33 million, according to a recent news report on BoatInternational.com.
The largest transaction last month was a 192-foot Capri built by Lürssen Yachts and sold for $65 million by Moran Yacht & Ship, which is based in Fort Lauderdale and Moscow.
