TowBoatUS yesterday announced that Douglass Marine in Orient, N.Y., is opening a towboat operation. Adam and Peter Douglass, owners of Douglass Marine, are expanding the company’s services with three response boats from 22 to 24 feet.
“My brother and I are proud to continue our family legacy’s helping boaters,” Capt. Adam Douglass said in a statement. “We have their needs covered on land or at sea.”
Douglass also offers to assist boaters through his local knowledge of the North Fork area of eastern Long Island. “I’m glad to help with navigation. I want to ensure a safe journey, so feel free to hail us on VHF or phone,” he added.
