Viking Yachts announced yesterday that president and CEO Patrick J. Healey was inducted into the International Game Fish Association Fishing Hall of Fame. Healey joined Roy W. Cronacher Jr., Tom Davidson, Capt. Ralph Delph and Capt. Jose Wejebe in the 2026 class.
“It would be easy to induct Pat Healey on the strength of what Viking has meant to this sport, but his impact reaches far beyond that. A three-time International Masters champion and a champion for conservation, he has left an indelible mark on the world of sport fishing,” IGFA president Jason Schratwieser said in a press release. “The IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame is the highest honor in our sport, and we are proud to welcome Pat into this distinguished group of individuals.”
“I never, ever in my wildest dreams thought this would happen,” Healey said Aug. 29 during the induction ceremony at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, Mo. “It’s just an incredible, incredible honor to be standing here in front of all of you tonight and to be inducted into this Hall of Fame.”
Founded in 1964 by brothers Bill and Bob Healey, Viking Yacht Co. grew from humble New Jersey roots into a leader in semicustom sportfishing yachts.
