Cruzin CEO Jaclyn Baumgarten will participate in a panel discussion at the 2014 Sail America Industry Conference to explain how peer-to-peer platforms can keep sailing affordable for current owners and bring new people into the lifestyle.
“Sailboat Rentals: A Brave New World?” will explore the ways that little-used boats are being turned into a business that Cruzin believes could revolutionize the sailing community. Panelists will represent P2P rental, charter, and fractional ownership market segments.
The conference will be held June 9-11 in Charleston, S.C. with the theme of “Exploring the Possibilities.” The conference’s more than 20 educational sessions include marketing to Millennials; the growth potential of ownership models; engaging new sailing audiences; video advertising; and using mobile apps to engage a customer base.
