The Connecticut Marine Trades Association is changing the dates of the Hartford Boat Show, beginning in 2015, to avoid conflict with the newly changed dates for the winter New York Boat Show.
“Suffering for years with dates starting from Christmas to New Year’s, New York Governor Cuomo issued NMMA dates beginning in 2015 for the weekend before the Super Bowl,” CMTA president Grant Westerson said in an email to members. “This NFL bye weekend has always been the time we’ve held our CMTA Hartford Boat Show, so beginning in 2015 we will change to the weekend after the Super Bowl.”
The 2015 Hartford show will run from Feb. 5-8, with similar dates in the following years, Westerson said.
“This change will also allow us to take advantage of a move-in schedule beginning on Monday of that week,” Westerson said.
