The International BoatBuilders Exhibition and Conference has announced the schedule of technical education seminars that will take place during the recreational boating industry trade show Oct. 3-5 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla.
The IBEX technical seminar series is produced in collaboration with the show’s technical partners: Professional BoatBuilder magazine, the American Boat & Yacht Council, the National Marine Electronics Association and show co-owner, the National Marine Manufacturers Association. This year there will be 52 sessions and highlights including “Appendage Design and Drag Considerations,” “Advances in Infusion Technology,” and “Engineering a 3D Printed Vessel: Why the Numbers Stack up Better than You Would Expect.”
“With such a talented group of professionals attending and exhibiting at IBEX, it has always been a vital focus of ours and our partners to provide the most relevant trends in our education conference,” Anne Dunbar, IBEX show director, said in a statement. “This year, with our show-wide emphasis on sustainability, we are offering more educational opportunities on these topics to help participants prepare for the future of our industry.”
The Sustainability Track includes more than 10 seminars dedicated to topics in boat design, regulatory code and waste reduction and recycling for boatbuilders. On Monday, Oct. 2, pre-conference sessions offer hands-on training in full- and half-day formats.
On the third floor of the convention center, the Tech Talk Theater will host 13 one-hour workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday during show hours.
Education conference packages and tickets are available during the registration process with early-bird pricing through Aug. 30. Click here to register.
