
A breakout session called The Carbon Conundrum is scheduled for Oct. 4 during the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference in Tampa, Fla.
Organizers said in a statement that the session will focus on sustainability and help the industry navigate boatbuilding trends between more horsepower and efficient, alternative propulsion and hull design. It will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
Monitored by Professional BoatBuilder magazine editor Aaron Porter and Tim Murhpy of the American Boat & Yacht Council, the session will feature a panel of industry professionals, including Jeff Wasil from the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association, Jeffrey Bowles of DLBA Naval Architects, Marnix Hoekstra of Vripack Yacht Design, Martin Peters of Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit, and August “Kiko” Villalon.
