For the third year in a row, the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, was recognized by the Trade Show News Network as one of the fastest-growing trades shows in the country by square footage.
Produced by the American Sportfishing Association, ICAST is the world’s largest sportfishing trade show, hosting more than 12,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.
The network placed ICAST on its Top 25 Fastest-Growing Shows by Square Footage awards list. The award was presented this month during the network’s 2015 annual awards conference and gala at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart.
“Our industry’s trade show continues to grow in size and impact, both domestically and internationally,” show director Kenneth Andres said in a statement. “ICAST’s continued growth reflects both the strength of the sport, the industry and our member companies who exhibit at the show.”
“The consistent uptick in attendance is a direct result of our value-added efforts, which include incorporating new elements, such as on-the-water product demonstrations, an industry bass fishing tournament, an industry golf/fishing tournament and an expanded business seminars schedule,” Andres said.
ICAST 2016 will be held July 12-15 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
