The National Marine Manufacturers Association and Boating Writers International announced the judges for the Discover Boating Minneapolis Boat Show Innovation Awards. The judging will take place Jan. 18, and winners will be announced that evening.
The judging panel consists of three veteran marine journalists:
• Brady Kay, the panel chair, executive editor of Pontoon & Deck Boat magazine and BWI president
• Adam Quandt, editor-in-chief of Boating Industry magazine and its Top 100 program director
• Charles Plueddeman, staff editor and contributor to Boating magazine since 1986
NMMA and BWI said in a statement that the Minneapolis Innovation Awards program received entries in four categories: aluminum fishing boats, fiberglass fishing boats, pontoon boats and furnishings. All entrants and award winners will be showcased during the show, which is scheduled for Jan. 19-22 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
