Nominations for the Metstrade Boat Builder Awards are now being accepted, according to show organizers. Awards will be presented Nov. 16 in 11 categories, three of which are new this year, that focus on innovation, people and the environment.
The awards gala will be held at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. Metstrade is scheduled for Nov. 15-17.
“Metstrade provides the perfect occasion to hold this celebration, given its pivotal role over three busy days in Amsterdam drawing together the global boatbuilding community,” show director Niels Klarenbeek said in a statement.
This year’s categories are:
• Customer of Tomorrow
• Breakthrough Launch of the Year
• Designer of the Year
• Innovative Design Solution
• Supply Chain Collaboration – production boats
• Supply Chain Collaboration – superyachts
• Sustainability Project of the Year
• Eco-focused Boat of the Year
• People and Skills Development
• Rising Star
• Lifetime Achievement Award
