IMAGE COURTESY METSTRADEOrganizers today announced the addition of a Start-Up Pavilion at Metstrade, which this year runs Nov. 15-17 at RAI Amsterdam. The pavilion, a collaboration with startup consultant Yachting Ventures, will host 15 emerging companies in Hall 7 for the duration of the event.
“By launching this brand-new pavilion, we give startup businesses the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the whole host of leisure marine industry players that make up the show’s 1,400-plus exhibitors and 17,000-plus attendees,” show director Niels Klarenbeek said in a statement. “In return, our audience gets to witness tomorrow’s inspiring innovation and meet the industry’s pioneers and thought leaders.”
The pavilion will include two terraces for meetings, networking and collaboration. Yachting Ventures will source participating startups and will organize panel discussions and a pitching competition to take place in the Metstrade Theatre. A startup will be defined as an early-stage company that has an annual turnover of less than €500,000 ($548,537) and/or has been operating commercially for less than two years.
“We’re very excited to be attending Metstrade for the second year, running and building upon last year’s success,” Yachting Ventures founder Gabbi Richardson said in the statement. “Metstrade is an important focal point in the industry’s calendar, and our collaboration on a Start-Up Pavilion offers a fantastic opportunity for startups to present themselves to key stakeholders interested in the technologies of tomorrow.”
