The third edition of the Metstrade boatbuilding techniques and materials roundtable will be held Nov. 19-20 at the Construction Material Pavilion during Metstrade show at RAI Amsterdam.
The sessions bring together leaders in an informal setting to exchange opinions and experiences, organizers said in a statement.
The roundtable will address “fatigue behavior of composite vessels under slamming” and “how to improve composite design thanks to better failure understanding,” according to the statement. Also on the agenda is the latest news on the recycling of fiberglass boats.
Speakers include Sergio Abrami of Studio Sergio Abrami YD; Stefano Beltrando of QI Composites; Giovanni Ceccarelli of Ceccarelli Yacht Design; Mario Malinconico of Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials; Luca Olivari of OlivariEng; and Paolo Schito of Politecnico di Milano.
Aaron S. Porter, editor of Professional BoatBuilder magazine, will serve as moderator.
