Metstrade organizers announced that nominations for the DAME Design Awards are being accepted. There are eight new categories for this year’s competition.
Metstrade is scheduled for Nov. 15-17 in Amsterdam.
The new categories “reflect how end users are likely to interact with marine equipment in the future,” according to a Metstrade statement. They take into consideration shifts in industry focus, such as interoperability, automation, and alternative energy and propulsion.
The new categories are:
• Personal Equipment
• Comfort & Entertainment Afloat
• Navigation & Communication
• Electronic & Electrical Systems
• Propulsion & Dynamics
• Deck Equipment
• Security & Safety Aboard
• Shoreside Equipment & Materials
An Environmental Design Award also will be handed out.
The awards program is open manufacturers and suppliers who are registered as exhibitors or co-exhibitors at the show. Entries will be accepted until Sept. 16. Email questions about the program to [email protected].
