The Newport Exhibition Group said the 44th annual Newport (R.I.) International Boat Show will be held Sept. 11-14 on the Newport waterfront along America’s Cup Avenue.
Organizers said the show is one of the largest in-water boat shows in the country and the premier show in New England. It encompasses 13 acres and will host hundreds of exhibitors from around the world with powerboats and sailboats ranging from 15 to 85 feet, plus accessories, equipment, electronics, gear and services for boaters.
The show is expected to draw tens of thousands of people to Newport. It will showcase new products and boat models unveiled for the first time and announce the winners of what organizers said is a newly enhanced Newport For New Products program, which recognizes the best new powerboat; sailboat; navigation product; and boating operation, maintenance or safety product introduced for the first time in the United States.
Visitors also will be able to attend the annual Cruisers Party hosted by Cruising Outpost, seminars, on-the-water activities and training.
Hours for the Thursday-to-Sunday show will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 11, 12 and 13 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 14.
