With in-person events expected later this year, RAI Amsterdam is planning to hold Metstrade Nov. 16-18.

RAI Amsterdam and partner ICOMIA will follow Covid-19 safety parameters, the organizations announced. About 80 percent of the exhibition space will be used for the show, which is planned for Hall 1-7 and the Elicium building of the RAI Convention Centre. According to the announcement, more than 1,000 exhibitors have registered.

“The leisure boating sector has withstood the pandemic storm well, as people have embraced the outdoor lifestyle,” Metstrade director Niels Klarenbeek said in the statement. “On the other hand, the industry has been facing unprecedented distribution challenges. Leisure marine professionals are eager to get to Metstrade this November to meet, do business and to overcome certain obstacles in their supply chains.”

The deadline for early exhibitor registration is May 1, with the goal of assigning floor space in July.

The show will be supported with a digital package from RAI studios, which will include awards ceremonies, pitches, panel discussions and networking options.

“Our physical and virtual offerings will create a seamless user experience, offering opportunities to both visitors and exhibitors,” Klarenbeek said.

“ICOMIA appreciates and supports all the work that has been done to date by RAI Amsterdam to ensure Metstrade 2021 can proceed in-person with success,” said Sara Anghel, ICOMIA president. “We are confident the measures being taken will allow our industry to reunite at its most important trade platform.”
