In its WaterLife Wednesdays newsletter, the Northwest Marine Trade Association said 301 member businesses participated in the Seattle Boat Show, which ran Feb. 2-10. NMTA said it sold tickets to attendees from 45 states and Canadian provinces, and that the show drew steady crowds.

“We’ve done 13 shows this show season, and hands down the Seattle Show is the best one,” Jeff Messer, of Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats, said in the newsletter.

Nik Graf from Aspen Power Catamarans said they had buyers from California, North Carolina, Alaska and Hawaii.

The show included a career fair that drew more than 200 students and job-seekers. NMTA said 30 member businesses participated.

“We were very pleased with the career fair this year,” Katie Malik of Gig Harbor Boat Works said. “We got a lot of qualified candidates who we will be following up with.”

As a follow-up, NMTA publishes a Media Coverage Report that reviews the news and other outlets that covered the show.
