Yamaha is providing the nonprofit Partnership for the Delaware Estuary with a G3 jonboat and V Max SHO 115 outboard.

Marine division revenues were down 2.5%, and operating income shrank 31%, due in part to decreased demand for small and midrange outboards.

The company is “helping to develop a circular plastic economy” by using recycled PET and PP pellets in its manufacturing.

The project includes the installation of panels at the company’s Kennesaw and Newman, Ga., facilities in an effort to reach carbon neutrality by 2035.

The merger is a component of Yamaha Motor’s Marine CASE Strategy 2024, which works toward carbon neutrality in the boating industry.

Customers asked for a 350-hp outboard, and Yamaha obliged, combining the best of the F300 and XTO Offshore.

The deal, which is premised on securing clearances and permits to satisfy regulatory agencies, involved the purchase of all of Torqeedo shares.

The 4.3-liter V6 outboard borrows technology from the 450-hp XTO model and will be offered in three shaft lengths up to 35 inches.
