Pardon my Christmas spirit, but I can’t help feeling joy that we appear to be heading for improving economic times. Tax cuts seem likely, interest rates will come down, inflation is improving, and many experts predict a better business climate in 2024.
So please humor me and my take on a few classic carols.
(Sung to the tune of “Do You Hear What I Hear”)
Said the blogger to his reader list, Do you hear what I hear? (Do you hear what I hear?)
Lower interest rates are very near
Do you hear what I hear (Do you hear what I hear?)
Yes sales, big sales will come at winter shows and next spring will bring in more gold,
And next spring will bring in more gold.
(Sung to the tune of “Oh Christmas Tree”)
Oh EPA, oh EPA, it’s time to end the fooling
You’ve had your day, now go away, it’s time to get retooling.
No more shall you see overreach, ignore what’s best and blindly preach,
Oh EPA, oh EPA, good changes would have us drooling.
(Sung to the tune of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”)
God rest ye NOAA Fisheries, it’s time to see new facts,
Our fishing rules need changes now, less regs on angler’s backs.
Speed limits to protect the whales we private anglers say,
It’s time such plans get buried deep and get out of the way,
Oh, oh time to move and get out of the way.
(Sung to the tune of “All I Want for Christmas”)
All I want from Congress is a tax cut bill, a tax cut bill, it would be a thrill
Gee, if I could only have my taxes cut, then I could grow and even prosper.
And all I want from Congress is someone to act, someone to act, yes that’s a fact,
But if that doesn’t happen then you should expect,
we’re going to be sure that you ain’t going back.
