Brunswick Corp. said in a statement that West Marine will carry products from its RELiON Battery division in select stores and online.
West Marine will offer RELiON lithium products, including 12- and 24-volt batteries, which are becoming a popular alternative to lead-acid batteries for a variety of applications on boats.
“West Marine has seen increased consumer demand for lithium phosphate batteries over the past several years, making our partnership with RELiON Battery the perfect addition for our consumers,” Ron Baime, West Marine chief merchandising officer, said in the statement. “Lithium phosphate batteries are among the most popular forms of energy storage in the world, and an excellent choice for boating applications.”
