
The Coast Guard and the American Boat & Yacht Council announced the seventh webinar in their joint risk mitigation series. The free webinar, “New Technology in Electric, Fuel, Capacity and Flotation,” is scheduled for Nov. 6 from 2-4 p.m. (ET).
“Being informed on the latest safety standards and regulations is essential for everyone in the marine industry,” Jeff Ludwig, chief of the Coast Guard’s Recreational Boating Product Assurance Branch, said in a statement. “Our goal continues to be to help manufacturers and technicians improve boating safety while staying ahead of evolving requirements. We’re excited to collaborate with ABYC to bring this valuable information to the industry.”
Topics to be covered during the webinar include new Coast Guard policies, new watersports attachment point requirements, lithium battery charging stations, and the latest on fuel system standards.
