Italian boatbuilder Arcadia Yachts recently announced that it signed a partnership with Florida- and New York-based The Italian Yacht Group to represent the shipyard in the United States.
The 30-year-old brokerage was founded by George Jousma and has locations in Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, Fla., and Sag Harbor, N.Y. The Italian Group commences its representation of Arcadia at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, which runs March 21 to 25.
“In recent years, we’ve worked hard to promote our brand in America and we’re particularly proud of this agreement,” Francesco Frediani, Arcadia Yachts CCO, said in a statement. “We believe that The Italian Yacht Group is in the ideal position to present not only the technical features of our models to American owners, but above all our idea of wellness and slow yachting. The top management of this firm is the perfect partner to channel our high-end boutique culture and products characterized by superior build and finishing quality.”
Added Jousma in the statement, “As North America’s leader in Italian Yachts, part of our mission has been to introduce some of Italy’s most iconic yacht brands to the Americas. As such, we’ve been very pleased to engage with the leadership team at Arcadia yachts, and we’ve worked closely with them at their Naples area shipyard.”
