Avid Boats is rebuilding and expanding its 85,000-square-foot factory to a 100,000-square-foot facility to accommodate expected growth.
Construction is expected to be completed by October 2024, and Avid hopes to add 50 jobs in the next five years.
“We are not just rebuilding; we are expanding,” Phillip Faulkner, owner of Avid Boats, said in a statement. “This expansion is a testament to our dedication to producing high-quality aluminum fishing boats and our belief in Mississippi’s economic future. … We look forward to creating new jobs and contributing to the prosperity of Monroe County for years to come.”
