Biznek will be responsible for global operations, including manufacturing strategy and engineering, supply chain, procurement, production planning, facilities and operational technology.
“Mark brings over 30 years of manufacturing and operations experience in the engine industry,” president and CEO Randy MacEwen said in a statement. “His leadership experience across the business, including supply chain, marketing, business development and global operations, will be a huge asset to Ballard’s operations as we prepare for commercial-scale manufacturing.”
Biznek held various leadership positions with Kohler Power Systems and also worked at Mercury Marine. Earlier in his career, he worked with lithium batteries at Delphi and aircraft engines at GE Aviation.
