The Beneteau Group announced plans for a 15,000-square-meter facility in Canet-en-Roussillon, France. The new site will allow the company to expand services for larger vessels and the refitting of preowned boats in the Mediterranean, along with the expertise of BMS — integrated into the group in October 2025 — which specializes in the maintenance, customization and refitting of large catamarans.

The facility is scheduled to open in mid-2029.

“With BMS’s expertise and the group’s resources, we want to develop a Mediterranean hub for services to large vessels in Canet,” Clément Himily, managing director of the sailing business unit, said in a press release. “Convinced of the potential of reconditioning used boats, we see it as a new lever to deploy the Beneteau Group’s NEO program on a larger scale, with the ambition of making this site a world reference in the 60-to-80-foot segment.”

The project extends the structuring of the group’s services to sites with direct access to the water, the release said. The site could be doubled at a later stage, as part of an optional 10,000-square-meter land expansion.
