Telematics company Boat Fix announced that it is partnering with Zodiac Nautic Group to launch Zodiac 24/7, a service that provides a combination of on-water support, remote monitoring, GPS tracking and theft prevention/recovery.
According to the terms of the partnership, new buyers of Zodiac RIBs larger than 3 meters receive a complimentary one-year, dedicated Boat Fix emergency mechanical helpline with towing dispatch service, factory-installed Boat Fix monitoring technology, the Zodiac 24/7 smartphone app and a one-year subscription to Boat Fix monitoring.
“Over the span of the past several years, a growing number of notable boat manufacturers have understood how important around-the-clock customer support and after-sales services is to growing and protecting their brand,” Boat Fix CEO Steve Pitsos said in a statement. “Zodiac has a long and storied history of safe operation in some of the most extreme applications, and our 24/7 support services provide for a safer, more secure, stress-free experience for boat owners and operators.”
With alarm monitoring centers in Charleston, S.C., and Southport, Conn., every call is answered by a person, and professional mechanics are immediately available, ready to diagnose problems and assist.
“Zodiac has spent over a century pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on the water — from the early days of airships to today’s cutting-edge RIBs trusted by professionals and adventurers alike,” Zodiac Nautic Group COO Tim March said in the statement. “Partnering with Boat Fix is a natural extension of that legacy. Their relentless focus on safety, service and real-time monitoring complements our mission to deliver not just performance, but peace of mind.”
