Boat Planet, a digital boat maintenance and repair platform, has received $1.2 million in funding led by 46 Venture Capital, with participation from Ascend Venture Capital and QuadTwo Capital.
The company said the funding round will allow Boat Planet to enhance features and expand its reach.
“We are thrilled to be working alongside a great group of investors who were all once operators and boaters on our journey to improve the boating experience,” Boat Planet co-founder Michael Kiel said in a statement. “With the launch of our new platform this spring, the biggest headache in boating will soon be easier than docking your boat on a windy day.”
Boat Planet was developed to simplify the process of connecting boat owners and professionals for repairs and maintenance. The company said it has a community of more than 35,000 professionals in the United States.
“We are very excited to have had the opportunity to lead the seed round for Boat Planet,” Tracy Poole, managing partner of 46 Venture Capital, said in the statement. “Michael and his team have delivered amazing traction in a short period of time by executing a relentless focus on the needs of their customers.”
